**Giveaway Closed! Thank you for entering!! The winner of the giveaway is Peace Love and Pets!! Congrats!**
I recently told you about the laptop that BlogHer sent me that was powered by the Intel® Core™ i5 processor and I'm back to tell you my experience with it! I can honestly say that it's pretty awesome! I've used older PC's before and I always noticed a lag time when opening programs and working on large spreadsheets but this laptop with the new processor definitely made a difference. For work, I was able to work on several spreadsheets at once and then even edit photos with those spreadsheets open and everything went quite smoothly! My screens didn't freeze and I didn't have to restart at all. I mean, if you've used a PC before, I'm sure you've had to deal with that at least a few times! I really liked how well the processor work because that meant that I could get my work done faster and spend more time with my husband and dogs!
Some info about the Intel® Core™ i5 processor:
Thanks to Intel® Turbo Boost Technology,1 the Intel® Core™ i5 processor automatically adapts to
whatever you are doing on your PC, dialing up speed to respond quickly to your needs. The Intel®
Core™ i5 processor: that’s smart performance with a speed boost. The Intel® Core™ i5 processor
also features Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology,2 which enables each core of your processor to
work on two tasks at the same time, delivering the performance you need for smart multitasking.
Don’t let too many open applications slow you and your PC down. Get smart performance now.
I also had a lot of fun using the Intel® Wireless Display which let me pull up my screen on our HDTV! It was actually a lot of fun sitting on the couch and reading through my favorite blogs through our TV instead of the laptop screen. Not sure my husband enjoyed it as much though. LOL!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 437 Newer› Newest»I keep my to do list in outlook! It's such a nag that I finish things just so it won't keep bugging me. Plus, then I don't forget stuff, and don't lose my to-do list...

I would love to buy some great accessories for my camera!
I would use the GC for this: Dyson fan! I stuck my head through it and if I won, I'd do it again. Love the bladeless idea.
That sounds like a great computer! Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about getting a new one to bring to class with me.
To help me multitask effectively I like to use a series of lists. I keep two running to-do lists - one for home and one for work. I like to limit the lists to one per day or one per week, depending on how intensive the tasks are.
Also, I am forgetful and I get really sidetracked by little things, random thoughts, etc. To help combat against this I always make it a point to keep a third list. This list is my capture-all. Anything that I think about doing -shopping returns, writing christmas cards, doing laundry, etc. will be put on this list. This ensures that I 1) stay on track, and keep doing whatever task I have already started on 2) don't forget anything important. Hope this helps!
Melissa
List making helps me stay organized so I can multitask without forgetting things. Doesn't always work.

With three kids, I'm the queen of multi-tasking! We need to be able to create Powerpoint and Word projects simultaneously, while uploading photos in the background.
I could use this GC :)
I use lists and I check off each one after I complete each task. Also, I write numbers on which ones I need to tackle firts.
I use my phone and outlook to keep track of my schedule. If I win, I can use it towards a new flash for my camera so my hubby can take better pictures of our son.
I use virtual post-its to make a list of everything I need to get done... I even sometimes "cheat" and add stuff to the list I've already done JUST so I can cross them off! It's so nice to see a fully crossed out list at the end of the day!!
pick meeeeeeee!!!
Multi-tasking has taken on a whole new meaning since I got my iPhone. I used to brag about my efficiency before ("Yes, that's right, I'm at the gym on the treadmill, on the phone with you, and on my laptop reading work emails--yep."), but that was nothing until I entered the realm of the smartphone. Now if I'm not doing at least 5 things at once, I feel like I'm being lazy!
Great giveaway.
I use http://teuxdeux.com/ to keep track of my tasks. Then I devote an hour or two to the most important thing that needs to be done that day. The next hour or two goes to other items on the list. If I still haven't finished, I go back to the most important thing until it's done.
Thanks for hosting this fab giveaway. I keep track of everything on my iphone. I could use this gift card to purchase a new laptop.

First I have lists and notes and then I try to do things at the same time that don't require effort from me and thus accomplish them at the same time like doing laundry or dishes and running roomba (can't recommend this gadget enough) around while I'm making dinner. Every little bit helps. Thank you!

I have windows 7 on my laptop and I love the post it note feature that allows me to place post it notes all over my desktop. That, and the calendar feature in my Microsoft Outlook, are my best tools for multi-tasking.
Making task lists helps multi-tasking work well!
I am the queen of multiple tabs!
I would put the $$$ toward an Ipad. Yes, I am dying for one.
multi-task
I make several to-do lists on post-its and stick them on the computer. Since i am always on my computer, it is the most visible location.
I just make a list in my head of everything I have to do. I remember that list all day and tick things off as I do them. This time of the year though I usually write out a list. It's hard to remember what I still have to buy or do for my girls' school. Thank you!
Saddest multi-tasking truth-While my husband is out of the house I run my netbook and his super-seedy laptop to get things done faster. Real multi-tasking would be dropping the netbook.
This would help in my photo uploads and editing!! It's so slow right now!
I could organize my pictures and blogging would be so fast!!

I sewar to GOD that I am ADD at times. That is why in the morning I write down the things I want to get done (because I jump from task to task), then at the end of the day I write down what I didn't get done to add to my list for the following day. It really helps on those days where you feel like you got nothing done, and it helps to keep you in check.
I multitask faster by running one computer with the left hand and one computer with the right hand.
I enter contests while I'm downloading other stuff!
thanks for sponsoring this giveaway! <3
To help myself multitask faster/better, I like to use my ipod touch's notes/calendar/stop watch apps (since I don't have an iphone! :[ ) to keep me organized and give me reminders of what I need to do. That way I can look up a recipe on my ipod touch and start cooking and bid on ebay while I'm waiting for my pasta to cook! :D
2carolicious4u@gmail.com
Awesome give-away! I have been dying to buy a new lens for our camera. $250 will certainly help with that purchase.
To help me multi-task, I plan out what I can do in between 'projects.' For example, I don't like to blow dry my hair straight out of the shower - I like to let it air dry a little bit first. So, in the downtime I check my email or do other little errands I need to take care of online. By the time I'm finished, my hair is ready to be blow dried. I also stand in my closet and stare at my clothes while I brush my teeth so I can try to visualize what I'll wear.
I could really, really use this $250 gift card!!!

I could definitely use a new laptop! Mine is over 6 years old and it is tired! Or I could also use the money to buy a new tv!! Let's just say the one I have is quite large (and I don't mean the screen size). ;)

What a great giveaway! Anyway, I love multitasking, so I absolutely HAVE to make lists to remind myself of all the things I'm in the middle of doing! I use a calendar and to-do list on my computer, have a wall dry-erase calendar, use a planner, and also make paper to do lists (as well as ones in my phone) just to keep track of all the things I want to get done. Thanks again for the giveaway!

I can always multitask better by keeping lists on my phone. This time of year I always have an ongoing Christmas gift list saved for family and friends. To multitask better, try to at least jot down notes, or open new tabs before you forget things..that way they're at least there.
I keep a calendar for the important things I need to remember, and leave myself little notes to remind me of things.
This would help me multi-task...my current computer is so old...it can barely keep open 2 internet tabs.
To multitask effectively, I need to make a to-do list before I begin, with strict deadlines and objectives, so I can stay on track, and I remove all outside distractions by either going to a quiet work space or putting on my noise canceling headphones so I can give all of my attention to the work I need to get done. If possible, I also turn of my cell phone to avoid losing my train of thought. Thanks!

My laptop now is soooooo slow it is unbelievable!!! Even when I go to our local library to use their fast speed, my computer is still slow! I need my laptop for making notes of things to do all day long. I could really enjoy a new one! Thanks.
I use lists and try to cut out the things that don't really matter!

I am not a good multitasker I have tried making lists but I lose the lists lezanac@yahoo.com
I use Google Calendar to help me remember dates and times fro things I would normally forget. I have so much housework to do, cooking and running errands that I need something to help simplify my life and make it faster since I can't find a way to add more hours to the day.

I like to do laundry and clean the house at the same time by leaving a timer on so that I can do load after load without wasting time. :)

I organize my day mornings I return calls and answer mail and emails--afternoons I start new casework and the last hour in the office I use to put away files and make new contacts.

This would allow me to complete my sweeps much faster, and have more time for everyday living.

Oh goodness to be able to have a laptop again that did not need to stay plugged in! I can harddly wait to get another one. Mine will only hold 18% battery life! lol
One of my resolutions for 2011 is to slow down a bit on the multi-tasking. I don't really need to read the news or emails while I eat breakfast or sew something while I'm "relaxing" watching tv. That said, I enjoy switching activities or chores and getting things done. I'm a list keeper and love "scratching off" what I've finished. mcgillrmcgill(at)charter(dot)net
I plan ahead to help in multi-tasking, grouping things together to get them done quickly. I'd love the $250 to use towards a new DSLR camera, would cut down on the time I photo edit from my little digi camera :)
I am a horrible multi-tasker. Even when I make lists, I still mess up. I have to do things one at a time if I'm to be sure they get done correctly.

I need a point and shoot camera so I can throw it in the diaper bag and take pics of my 3mo old son Greyson everywhere we go! What a merry xmas it would be! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
lists, lists, and more lists. I'm totally lost without my lists. Unfortunately I sometimes misplace my lists. I can see how this would really help. I could use the calendar and have my lists quickly at hand and print them out if I need to.
